Mission
Our
mission is to provide comprehensive, consistent, high quality
care to patients with renal and hypertensive diseases; offer highly
visible, geographically dispersed, readily accessible outpatient
and inpatient nephrology; reduce administrative burdens on physicians
and create an environment in which physicians can dedicate their
time to the clinical practice of medicine; and to reward contribution
of physicians and staff for clinical excellence, patient centric
behavior, and improved patient outcomes.
Vision
Our
vision is to expand the reputation and the services of MANA and
to position it as the regional provider of choice for hypertension
and renal care.
Objectives
· Become the leading nephrology care provider of choice among
the community health care providers;
· Create a vertically integrated comprehensive nephrology
group positioned to provide
superior services to the residents of the Baltimore Metropolitan
and eastern Maryland area;
· Create a “platform” practice from which
to build a comprehensive network of providers, and facilities
to compete effectively with other providers for global CKD risk
contracts by providing the full range of provider-based CKD
care;
· Develop CKD education programs for referring physicians
to insure the early detection and treatment of hypertensive and
renal disease;
· Integrate all aspects of the practice
of nephrology to maximize patient access and the efficiency of
available providers, thus making it feasible to see more patients,
cover more facilities, develop and implement clinical pathways,
promote medical education, add new services, and provide cost
effective use of resources;
· Expand inpatient renal support services including hemodialysis;
CVVH, peritoneal dialysis and apheresis;
· Position the practice, through strategic
affiliations to participate in CKD disease management contracting;
· Carry
out clinical research to generate quality outcomes and clinical
performance measures;
· Engage
in meaningful quality assurance and utilization management and
establish an action plan for continuous quality improvement;
· Improve and expand the management capabilities
of the practice;
· Develop and implement state-of-the-art
clinical and business information systems;
· Generate income efficiencies through
effective cost containment and utilization of economies of scale
to control and ultimately reduce overhead expenses.
